Ericka Chancellor the founder of Ericka's Styles a Professional Hair care business and the owner of Sweet1 Hair Studios. "As a child I had a knack for hair, and came to the realization that this was my God given gift." Ericka has been a licensed professional stylist for 25 Years. As the first business owner in her family she would like to inspire others to start early with their dreams and passions. Ericka began her journey at Southern California
Regional Occupational Center (SCROC) and later transferred to Contempo Beauty College in Inglewood, California where her career officially began after receiving her state board certification.

Since then, she has participated in several Hair Shows and she has been featured in Black Hair Magazine.. Ericka has worked with Rhonda O Neal from Local 706, she serviced actresses for TV commercials and a host of professional Clients. She has mentees that have excelled in working in the television and film industry. Ericka specializes in customer service, Natural Hair Styling, Hair coloring, cutting, wig styling, extensions, makeup, alopecia, and real live make-overs. Her passions also included motivational speaking, mentoring, and inspiring the next wave of Cosmetology entrepreneurs. In 2007, Ericka was recruited by the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology as an Examiner. Ericka is always compelled to excel at all levels; therefore, after working for the board for several years, she was then recruited by NIC as a Cosmetology Subject Matter Expert.

There, she formulated the National exams for Cosmetology and Natural Hair. 2018 began new adventures; she was recruited by NACCAS as a Practitioner Evaluator for Accrediting Beauty Industry schools, and she created an event/ podcast called Beyond The Chairs. This event/ podcast is where licensed professionals from barbering, nails, cosmetology, and esthetics come to share valuable information about the industry, self help and awareness to the public. As a member of the El Camino College Cosmetology advisory board, Ericka is able to contribute feedback within the beauty school in her community on needs. Her goals are to educate the public on the truth about the industry and self-help. It is Ericka's ultimate goal to educate on ethnic hair care, sustainability, marketing, and branding. Inspiring the next generation of Cosmetologists and Entrepreneurs to propel Beyond the Chairs.
